How would you like to celebrate your next birthday? In case you or your parents are looking for ideas, here are a few suggestions from the Children's Museum how to find just the right party for that special day:
    
Paper party
Create paper from a wide variety of elements! You make your own special paper paste, and produce from this paste many different kinds of paper. Watermarks, plants, confetti, fragrant spices can all be integrated into the paper. Each piece of paper is an original!
For kids turning 6 or older (max 10 kids)
Group fee (up to 10 kids and two adults): 120 Euro for 2 hours
Theatre party
The party begins with an introduction to our Old Country Store. You and your friends then dress up in historical costumes and play the roles of buyer, seller or cashier, just like in an old-fashioned grocery store a hundred years ago!
For kids turning 8 or older
Group fee (up to 10 kids and two adults): 120 Euro for 2 hours
Jewelry party
In the jewelry workshop children create and design their own earrings, necklace or bracelets. They learn from a real goldsmith how to thread and use a clasp, or sew together felt and feathers for a decorative pin.
For kids turning 6 or 7 (max 10 kids)
Group fee (up to 10 kids and two adults): 120 Euro for 2 hours
For kids turning 8 or older (max 10 kids)
Group fee (up to 10 kids and two adults): 150 Euro for 3 hours
Set Signs & Leave Marks!
Come and discover the many playful aspects of letters, language and the written word. Party guests get to explore our exhibiton and use a traditional printing press, create their own monograms, decode secret messages, or even make an animated film using letters. Letter sculptures, poetry corner, nonsense wall: our wide variety of fun activities allow guests to invent together or explore on their own. The perfect party event!

Group fee (up to 10 kids and two adults): 120 Euro for 2 hours
Painting party
In the art workshop the children paint with acrylics useing an easel. The subject can be choosen in advance.
For kids turning 9 or older (max 10 kids)
Group fee (up to 10 kids and two adults): 150 Euro for 3 hours
Paper mache
See small objects such as animals, fruit or bowls take shape layer by layer, using paper strips and paste. A variety of colorful and patterned paper stripes gives each child’s object its special appearance.

Textile design party
Using various techniques, and textile materials such as wool, fabric and recycling materials, you and your guests are able to design unique handcrafted accessories to update the outfit of each participant.

Computer party
In the computer workshop the children edit and design their own pictures. Using a computer graphics program, the kids pictures, taken with a digital camera, will be edited and set into crazy and unusual backgrounds or situations. The results will be printed and burned onto CD.

Included in all activities is half an hour for enjoing cake & beverages. Cake and drinks can be brought. The museum provides the rest, from plates and spoons to a microwave.
Attention:
For reasons of fire protection we are not allowed to light candles on the birthday cake!
